Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, architecture, facilities management, construction management, project management, building technology or related field and six years of facilities and plant operations management experience in: health care, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic and biomedical research institutions, scientific laboratory or R&D environment, government research or public health laboratories AND four years' experience supervising staff or an Associate's degree and eight years of the required experience AND four years' experience supervising staff. Experience must include capital budget preparation and fiscal oversight, and capital project oversight.
Computer proficiency with Building Management Systems and related software/hardware and data management such as: Honeywell and/or Johnson Control, Microsoft Office Products, AUTOCAD, CADFM, work order and preventive maintenance management, and space management software/databases – Archibus or equivalent.
The incumbent directs and manages the Wadsworth Center Facilities Management Program which encompasses the carpentry, electrical, plumbing, fabrication and refrigeration shops; maintenance; janitorial services; fleet operations and plant/HVAC operations. The incumbent provides oversight to all areas of Facilities services at the Center's five campus locations: Empire State Plaza, David Axelrod Institute, Griffin Laboratory, Center for Medical Sciences, and 1450 Western Avenue.
