Cleveland State Community College broke ground in late August of 2019 on the $25 million Health Science Center in Cleveland, Tenn. Designed by BarberMcMurry Architects to promote interactive and experiential learning, the 53,617-sf facility will accommodate programs including nursing, paramedic and EMT training, and medical assisting. The two-story building will provide technology-rich simulation labs, a multifunctional auditorium with flexible seating, five general-purpose classrooms, two biology labs, a microbiology lab, a computer lab, faculty offices, and a student lounge. HOAR Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is slated for completion in December of 2020.
