Miami University is planning to begin construction in late spring of 2021 on the $50 million Richard M. McVey Data Science Building in Oxford, Ohio. Providing approximately 85,000 sf of space for innovative academic and research programs, the transdisciplinary facility will accommodate the Center for Analytics and Data Science, the Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies, and the departments of mathematics and statistics. Promoting collaboration with the School of Business and the College of Engineering and Computing, the three-story structure will also house one of Miami University's newest departments, Emerging Technology in Business and Design. The criteria architect for the project is CannonDesign. Completion is expected in August of 2023.
