Miami University is constructing the $58 million Richard M. McVey Data Science Building in Oxford, Ohio. Housing the departments of Mathematics, Statistics, and Emerging Technology in Business and Design, the 85,000-sf facility will provide leading-edge teaching and research spaces for programs in software engineering, computer science, robotics, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and cybersecurity. The transdisciplinary structure will also accommodate the Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies and the Center for Analytics and Data Science. CannonDesign is the criteria architect for the project, which broke ground in October of 2021. Occupancy is expected in January of 2024.
