The John Innes Centre and The Sainsbury Laboratory are planning a £390 million transformation of their joint campus at the Norwich Research Park in the United Kingdom. Designed by BDP (Building Design Partnership), the Next Generation Infrastructure Programme will deliver a total of 431,000 sf of leading-edge environments for plant science and microbial research. This dynamic complex will accelerate the translation of scientific knowledge into practical solutions by leveraging shared resources, spaces, and networks.

Dallas County Health and Human Services opened its new Public Health Laboratory in March of 2026. Strategically sited in the Southwestern Medical District, the $52 million facility offers state-of-the-art environments for the detection and mitigation of infectious agents and toxins. The 67,000-sf building centralizes lab services previously dispersed in several locations while significantly increasing capacity for testing, disease surveillance, and emergency response.

UC Davis Health (UCDH) is constructing the 910,000-sf California Tower in Sacramento. Envisioned as a cornerstone for critical care in the region, the $3.7 billion complex will add a 14-story hospital and a five-story pavilion to the existing medical center. The resilient facility will provide approximately 334 private inpatient rooms, 250 of which can seamlessly transition to “pandemic mode” to offer additional infection isolation capabilities through negative air pressure.

The New York State Department of Health has begun construction on the new Wadsworth Center, a $1.7 billion public health laboratory that will transform the state's ability to detect, prevent, and respond to emerging threats. Designed by HOK, the state-of-the-art facility will consolidate five legacy sites across the Greater Albany area into a single, modern campus. Ancora L&G opened a $165 million life sciences center in October of 2025 in Providence, Rhode Island. Located in the city’s I-95 innovation district, the 212,000-sf building accommodates 80,000 sf of world-class research space owned by and dedicated to the Rhode Island Department of Health.
