Tenee R. Casaccio, AIA

JMZ Architects and Planners - a nationally-certified Woman-owned Business Enterprise - is completely focused on shaping the future of higher education. As President of the firm, Tenée Casaccio works collaboratively with campus leaders to formulate strategies to address the issues facing higher education. A graduate of the College of Architecture & Urban Studies at Virginia Tech, she has over 30 years of experience leading large campus planning and design assignments, including JMZ’s work at Louisiana State University, the University of Alabama, and the University of North Carolina System.
Tenée drives the firm’s planning and design results to be both ambitious and achievable. Under her leadership, JMZ has expanded their geographic reach well beyond their home state of New York. The firm has now prepared campus master plans, conducted strategic space studies, and designed buildings of various types on more than 100 college campuses in 13 states. The firm has also received dozens of design awards and several Best Places to Work honors.
In her spare time, Tenée enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, and solving New York Times crossword puzzles.
