Speaker Profile: Diego Mandelbaum, PE, LEED AP (BD+C)
A mechanical engineer by training, Diego has a breadth of experience in the design and delivery of the built environment with a focus on low-carbon energy systems. As the Vice President of Development at Creative Energy, Diego is responsible to develop new low-carbon district energy systems in the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada that that result in social, environmental, and financial benefits for all stakeholders involved.
Prior to joining Creative Energy and moving to Toronto, Diego was a managing Principal for a 350-person engineering and architecture business unit at Stantec. During his time in consulting, Diego was involved in projects ranging in size from $0.5M - $600M and undertook various roles such as Engineer of Record, Project Manager and, Principal-in-Charge.
Diego is actively involved in his community and sits on the UBC Alumni Advisory Council, the UBCO Engineering Industry and Alumni Advisory Committee and was the founder and former president of the Okanagan ASHRAE Section.
