  • Boston Scientific Plans Maple Grove Expansion


    Boston Scientific Corp., based in Natick, Mass., will expand its Maple Grove, Minn. campus with the construction of a 120,000-sf office and research lab facility. Boston Scientific plans to begin manufacturing drug-coated stents in the first half of 2004.

  • Cytec Moves Headquarters to Marlborough


    Cytec Corp, a developer and manufacturer of women’s medical diagnostic products, is relocating its headquarters from 100,000 sf in Boxborough to 216,000 sf in the former 3Com campus in Marlborough.

  • AGA Medical Expands Manufacturing in Minnesota


    Medtech company AGA Medical will relocate its headquarters from Golden Valley to a 27-acre corporate park recently purchased in Plymouth, Minn. The site, the former home of Qwest’s wireless operations, includes a three-story, 189,000-sf facility that more than quadruples AGA’s current space.

  • GlaxoSmithKline Opens Zebulon Manufacturing Plant


    GlaxoSmithKline has opened its new 220,000-sf manufacturing facility in Zebulon, N.C. The facility will employ 250 workers engaged in manufacturing inhaled respiratory products, including a device called the Advair Diskus.

  • BioMerieux Expands Durham Headquarters


    BioMerieux, a French diagnostic instruments maker, is expanding its U.S. headquarters in Durham's Teer Technical Park with the lease of an additional 20,000 sf. The space will house research in probe instrument technology. 

  • Biosite Plans Mira Mesa Headquarters


    San Diego-based Biosite is planning to construct a four-building, 350,000-sf corporate headquarters on 17.7 acres recently purchased in Mira Mesa, Calif. Biosite, a maker of rapid diagnostic products, plans to purchase an additional 8.4 acres by year-end 2003.

  • C.R. Bard Develops Covington Facility


    Medical products supplier C.R. Bard has selected Pattillo Construction Co. to develop its new 411,100-sf distribution center in Covington, Ga. The building will be sited in the Lochridge Industrial Park on 38 acres of land.

  • VWR International Expands With Move to Franklin


    VWR International, a subsidiary of the German Merck KGaA group, is expanding with a move from 17,000 sf in Marlborough to 70,000 sf in Franklin, Mass. The Westchester-based company distributes chemicals and other lab-related equipment to researchers and life science companies.
