Universities are being pressed to accelerate graduates to meet the needs of the high-tech job market, and this dynamic is stretching capabilities and capacity beyond campus norms. Session leaders take a deep dive into the methodology that was developed and applied at the University of North Carolina System to assess the needs for STEM graduates to fill high-demand jobs in NC, and to determine academic space needs for current and future enrollment, improved space utilization, and additional capacity. They illustrate how the study results are reprioritizing capital project plans in an increasingly difficult funding environment.
