Leandra J. Davis, LEED AP
Leandra Davis is the Director of Planning, Design and Construction for the University of Pennsylvania, School of Engineering. She has been the Director of her department for nearly four years and has worked for the University for over 12 years. Leandra is responsible for Master Planning, space strategy and analysis, directing design and construction capital projects, capital and financial planning, managing the lease portfolio, oversees operational support in a variety of buildings, and sustainability initiatives for Penn Engineering. The University has 26,000 students and 18,000 faculty and staff, not including the hospital. The West Philadelphia campus is 299 acres with 218 buildings; the total University budget is $10.39B. Engineering is one of four large schools and owns or has significant space in 13, soon to be 16 buildings across campus. Leandra recently completed the Penn Engineering 5 Year Master Plan to address faculty, staff and student growth and is now in the process of designing or building three new buildings: Tangen Hall, an entrepreneurial building with Wharton business school, Energy, Science and Technology building, a wet laboratory building with the School of Arts and Science, and the new Engineering Data Science Building. Her two most recent building projects were the Pennovation Center and The Singh Center for Nanotechnology, a wet laboratory, microscopy, and cleanroom building. Leandra has received three Penn Models of Excellence Awards, is a Trustee on the Board of the Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia and is Co-Chair to their House and Grounds Commitee, she has served on the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church Property Committee. Leandra has a BS from Drexel in Interior Architeture, an Executive Certificate in Business from Wharton, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and is completing a MS in Organizational Dynamics, Leading and Managing Through Change at Penn.
