Rusty Walker, AIA, LEED AP: An Associate Principal, Rusty has been with Holabird & Root for 8 years and energizes his clients with his ability to generate ideas and ask the questions that help create the vision for exceptional spaces. His enthusiasm, paired with an understanding of what it takes to design a building that works, steers the design team’s work. As a project designer, Rusty leads the architectural design of projects by establishing both the organization and the expression of the buildings. He meets frequently with a client in a project’s early stages to arrive at an appropriate direction. Rusty then presents a range of alternative schemes and encourages feedback that he incorporates in the development of a project. With over two decades of design and planning experience, Rusty holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Northeastern University and a Master of Architecture from Rice University. He has also previously served as adjunct assistant professor for the University of Illinois at Chicago.
