
Dr. Claire Lindsell is the Attending Veterinarian and Director of the University Laboratory Animal Resources Department at the University of California Irvine, overseeing a multi-species animal care program encompassing 11 animal facilities on two campuses. Claire graduated with a veterinary degree from the University of Sydney, Australia, then completed a Residency in Theriogenology and a PhD in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Developmental Biology at UCLA. She was a Senior Clinical Veterinarian at California Institute of Technology and then joined UC Irvine in 2007 as Associate Director and then Director. Throughout her career, she has concentrated on improving efficiencies and controlling costs, while maintaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the organization.
