d'Andre Willis is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Planning & Design and Campus Architect at the University of Colorado Boulder. At CU she is responsible for leading planning and design of the Boulder campus, from master planning to design of capital projects. Her team includes architects, planners, landscape architects, interior designers, space optimization, and CAD/GIS. Recently she led the complete renewal and exterior preservation of the Hellems Arts & Sciences Building, which was the first building on campus by architect Charles Z. Klauder and established CU Boulder’s signature Tuscan Vernacular architectural style. She is partnering with Wayne Northcutt currently on the design of the Chemistry and Applied Mathematics Building, which will provide critical laboratories and student academic spaces, and will be the first mass timber building on campus.
