Tess is an experienced facilities and operations manager with over 15 years’ experience in supporting biomedical research. She joined the Translational Research Institute - Australia in 2012 where she supported the building's initial establishment and occupation. She has led TRI’s Core Facility portfolio since 2016 including providing oversight for the development of Australia's leading Gnotobiotic facility and most recently establishment of the nations first and only commercial provider of Humanised Immune mouse models.
Her team has led a data-driven decision-making transformation of their core operations, pulling together utilisation metrics, asset and financial data into models and dashboards that provide a real-time, objective assessment of core performance. This has supported compelling business cases, transformative initiatives and bolstered organisational confidence and strategic outcomes.
