Ira Rothman is a lighting designer with the Borealis Lighting Studio, the lighting studio within BR+A Consulting Engineers. BR+A has fourteen (14) offices across North America, of which five (5) have Borealis lighting designers located within them; Ira is located here in BR+A's Boston office. Ira and the Borealis team have extensive experience in Life Science and Healthcare lighting projects throughout North America and have designed Proton Therapy facilities across the globe. As part of this "wheelhouse" of work, Borealis and BR+A have been involved with the design and development of countless vivariums for large and small wildlife, as well as zebra fish aquatics research facilities. During his person time, Ira enjoys time with his family, four grown children and two grandchildren, as well as skiing, sailing, home construction projects and reading non-fiction and fiction.
