Michael Wisnieski

Mike Wisnieski serves as Director and Head of Vivarium Operations, US, at AstraZeneca. Based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, he oversees vivarium operations in Gaithersburg, Waltham, and the newly opened Kendall Square/290 Binney site. He also leads initiatives in innovation, data, facility transformation, and operational improvement. Recent work includes leading the global Animal Sciences & Technologies innovation team, helping develop a structured ideation program across international vivaria, and supporting major facility planning, including the Gaithersburg vivarium expansion and planning for Kendall Square. Before joining AstraZeneca, Mike held leadership roles in aquatic animal facilities at NICHD/NIH and Charles River.
