Vice President | University Architect

Dave Schulz is the University Architect and a vice president at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. This year he marks his 25th year at the institution. Rutgers, a member of the Big 10, is a large university, with over 30,000,000 square feet in almost one thousand buildings. The wide variety of academic, research, agricultural, residential, and clinical facilities makes his job interesting and enjoyable - most days.

He has worked on a wide variety of projects over the years, but Rutgers newest capital project - The HELIX, is the most complicated and perhaps the most impactful project he has ever worked on. The complex P3 project, just off campus and in the heart of the medical district of New Brunswick, NJ, has started construction after five years of financial, programmatic, and physical planning.
