
Wendy Hess has spent 15 years at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory as facilities architect, project manager, and space planner. Wendy currently leads the space planning team at APL overseeing nearly four million square feet of office, laboratory, and support space. Recent efforts include updating the space planning metrics used throughout the campus, and providing programming documents to support over 500,000 sf of new space currently in design and construction. Currently focused on long range strategic planning as well as space management of classified facilities.
Before joining APL, Wendy worked at SmithGroup in Wash., DC, on a variety of institutional and government projects. She holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Architecture from the U of Maryland, and Syracuse Univ.
