Dr. Isilay Civan is the Global Workplace Strategy & Design Lead with Citi Realty Services, located in Tampa. She is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of future compatible workplace strategies and design guidelines, and their consistent implementation globally.
Dr. Civan has over 20 years of applied experience in the design and construction fields internationally, covering most building types from office, commercial and residential buildings, to airports and healthcare facilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the entire building life-cycle from idea generation to design, to construction and occupancy, which are instrumental in achieving and sustaining truly wholesome, high-performance built environments.
A published author of two books and numerous technical articles and editorials, Isilay earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Master’s degree in Construction Project Management, and two PhDs: one in Facilities Management and the other in Real Estate Development, with a minor in Business — giving her a comprehensive understanding of the entire building spectrum.
