ST. LOUIS
International brokerage firm Edward Jones has a $25 million, 83,000-sf data center under construction at the company's St. Louis headquarters. The facility will house complex mechanical and electrical systems and will serve as the communications hub for more than 7,000 Edward Jones branch offices. Access flooring will be installed throughout the two-story building to enable easy access later for subsequent upgrades and regular maintenance. The St. Louis office of McCarthy is handling construction, with completion scheduled for April 2002. The structure is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions. St. Louis-based Arcturis is the architect.
