New York City Implements TRIRIGA TREES to Reduce Energy and Carbon Footprint

Published 4/19/2010

TRIRIGA, a leading provider of integrated workplace management solutions, announced in April of 2010 that New York City will deploy TREES, TRIRIGA’s environmental sustainability software, to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption at over 4,000 government buildings. TREES will enable NYC to measure its carbon output on a building-by-building basis while supplementing its efforts to conserve energy. TREES streamlines carbon accounting and environmental investment analysis to provide carbon intelligence and achieve energy reduction strategies. The cost of the energy use in NYC municipal buildings totals more than $800 million each year and accounts for about 64 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions produced by NYC government operations. New York City will use performance data from the TRIRIGA system to focus its strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 30 percent by 2017.For more information, visit TRIRIGA.
