Ground was broken in April of 2025 on the $175 million Amway Stadium in Grand Rapids, Mich. Designed by Progressive Companies, this vibrant sports destination will serve as the home for a new men's soccer team competing in the MLS Next Pro league. Grand Action 2.0 is developing the 8,500-seat facility, which will include multiple tiered levels and a three-story scoreboard to keep fans connected to the action.
Offering premium options including loge boxes and suites, the iconic center will be flanked by an open plaza for pre-game gathering activities. Universal design guidelines will ensure an equitable experience for all attendees, with a $6 million skybridge creating a physical link to an adjacent 900-space parking garage. AECOM Hunt and Rockford Construction are the joint-venture contractors for the project, which will also accommodate cultural and community events. Completion is anticipated in spring of 2027.
Catalyzing the transformation of a brownfield site into a dynamic urban neighborhood, the world-class stadium is part of a larger regeneration plan that is supported by $252 million in funding from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The reimagined district will include two mixed-use structures and the under-construction Acrisure Amphitheater.
