Blinn College Expands RELLIS Campus

Blinn College is planning to construct a $32 million academic facility on the RELLIS Campus in Brenham, Texas. Designed by Gensler, the Phase II Building will provide classrooms, faculty and administrative offices, and labs for programs in engineering and computer science. The three-story, 75,000-sf structure will also offer gathering and interaction areas, a student services center, a food vending court, and a large meeting room. Construction is slated to begin in February of 2021 with occupancy in fall of 2022.

University of North Carolina at Greensboro Constructs Nursing and Instructional Building

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is constructing the $105 million Nursing and Instructional Building. Designed by LS3P, the 180,000-sf structure will provide a consolidated home for the School of Nursing and allow for programmatic growth to support additional enrollment. The four-story structure will feature multiple simulation training environments including hospital rooms, patient exam rooms, labor and delivery suites, and home health settings such as mock apartments.

Montana State University Billings Constructs Yellowstone Science and Allied Health Building

Montana State University Billings is renovating and expanding an existing structure to create the 80,000-sf Yellowstone Science and Allied Health Building. Designed by Dowling Studio Architects with Research Facilities Design (RFD) as laboratory design consultant, the $15 million project includes the construction of a three-story, 30,000-sf addition that will provide 16 teaching labs, 11 research labs, classrooms, study spaces, and a shared equipment core.

Rhodes State College Plans Borra Center for Health Sciences

Rhodes State College is planning to begin construction in mid-2020 on the $20.2 million Borra Center for Health Sciences in Lima, Ohio. Designed by Munger Munger + Associates Architects, the 50,000-sf building will accommodate allied health programs including nursing, emergency medical services, respiratory care, and occupational and physical therapy assistance. The structure will provide six additional classrooms and a leading-edge simulation center with high-fidelity training suites for experiential learning in obstetrics, surgery, and intensive care.

Augustana College Constructs Lindberg Center for Health and Human Performance

Augustana College is constructing the $18 million Peter J. Lindberg Center for Health and Human Performance in Rock Island, Ill. Accommodating programs in public health and kinesiology, the hybrid academic and fitness center will offer five state-of-the art classrooms, two active learning labs, faculty offices, locker rooms, student gathering and study spaces, and a wellbeing and meditation room. An aquatic center and natatorium will provide a 25-yard pool, a diving well, a therapy pool, and a swim performance lab.
