Abcam Constructs Global Headquarters in Cambridge
Abcam, a leading supplier of protein research tools for the life sciences industry, is constructing its global headquarters on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus in the United Kingdom. Designed by NBBJ to promote collaboration, the 100,000-sf laboratory and office building will accommodate over 450 staff, enabling Abcam to consolidate three existing sites in the area. Ground was broken on the project in June of 2017 and completion is expected in late 2018.
AmerisourceBergen Constructs Carrollton Pharmaceutical Campus
AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group is creating a $113 million pharmaceutical campus in Carrollton, Texas. Designed by Gensler, the 300,000-sf build-to-suit facility will be leased by AmerisourceBergen for 12.5 years and will ultimately accommodate up to 2,000 employees. Occupancy is expected in 2019. AmerisourceBergen is a pharmaceutical sourcing and distribution company based in Valley Forge, Pa.
BELIMO's North American Headquarters Attains LEED Gold
BELIMO Americas has attained LEED Gold sustainable design certification for its North American Headquarters in Danbury, Conn. Designed by The S/L/A/M Collaborative, the 195,000-sf facility comprises 129,000 sf of logistics and manufacturing space, 15,000 sf of testing labs, and 51,000 sf of office space. BELIMO is a Switzerland-based company engaged in the development, production, and marketing of actuators, valves, and sensor solutions for controlling heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
Mary Kay Breaks Ground on Research, Development, and Manufacturing Facility
Mary Kay broke ground in September of 2016 on a $125 million research, development, and manufacturing facility in Lewisville, Texas. Designed by Jacobs Engineering, the 480,000-sf facility will support the creation, testing, and production of cosmetics and skin care products. Completion is expected in early 2018. The general contractor for the project is Beck Construction.
Mary Kay Plans Lewisville R&D Facility
Mary Kay will begin construction in July of 2016 on its global research, development, and manufacturing campus in Lewisville, Texas. Featuring advanced production technologies for cosmetics, the $100 million facility will accommodate 600 employees, including both researchers and manufacturing staff. Completion is expected in early 2018.
