Jose Rodriguez is Director of Facilities Planning and Operations for Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He joined Florida International University in 2003, and in 2006 he joined the planning team for what was to  become the University’s new, from-the-ground-up College of Medicine which opened in 2009.  Three years later, Jose was given the facilities planning and operations responsibility for the College of Medicine, which today includes a portfolio of remodeling, renovation, upgrade, and expansion projects for labs, offices, classrooms, and conference room technologies -- AND laying the facilities groundwork for a new $57million medical school investment.

Prior to coming to Florida International University, Jose spent eight years with the Miami-Dade Community College system, and two years as a senior project manager with firm of Reynolds Smith and Hills.  He holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Architecture from the University of Florida.
