Stanford University Develops Clark Center for Biomedical Engineering

Published 8/15/2002

Stanford University's Clark Center for Biomedical Engineering and Science, currently under construction, is slated for completion in summer of 2003. The multi-disciplinary 225,000-sf facility will bring researchers from a variety of different fields together. There are no walls inside the building. Work spaces are adjustable, with wheeled benches, shared fume hoods, and electrical outlets and ventilation ducts available every ten feet. The project team includes MBT Architects of San Francisco and Foster and Partners of London.
