Georgia Tech Develops Technology Square

Georgia Institute of Technology is building Technology Square, a 1,109,000-gsf mixed-use development at Midtown. Slated for completion in August 2003, the $179-million project will house the Dupree College of Management, Executive Education Center, Economic Development Institute, Global Learning Center, a 250-room hotel and conference center, retail, and parking. Developed by Jones Lang LaSalle, Technology Square is being designed by architect Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates, with Holder/Hardin JV Construction Company as contractor. 

Additionally, the Advanced Technology Development Center will occupy 165,000-sf of business incubator and administrative space in the adjacent two-building Centergy development. The $78-million project includes a 250,000-gsf standalone lab, classroom and administrative facility under construction for Yamacraw, Georgia’s strategic initiative to foster growth in the broadband telecommunications industry. Designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart Architects and developed by Kim King Associates, the project is being built by contractor Hardin Construction Group.
