Cal Poly Plans Performing Arts and Digital Media Studio Center

California Polytechnic University is planning to construct the new $25-million Performing Arts and Digital Media Studio Center on its Pomona campus. Located on a 65-acre site called Innovation Village which houses the Center for Technology Training and Incubation (CTI), this highly flexible and open facility will include digital media labs; a 300- to 350-seat performing space with web-casting capabilities for musical performances, studio recordings, and a sound stage; video streaming/Internet capabilities; a computer center; instructional laboratories; and faculty and student workspaces for the division of Instructional and Information Technology and the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences. The feasibility study for the project is being performed by HGA Architects.
