Arizona State University Establishes Army Flexible Display Center

Published 2/10/2004

Arizona State University’s ASU Research Park in Phoenix will be the home of the Army Flexible Display Center, a government-industry collaboration center for the research, development, and manufacture of multi-functional display technology. The 250,000-sf building previously accommodated Motorola’s flat panel display R&D operations.

Featuring wet and dry labs and 43,500 sf of advanced cleanroom space, the facility will allow an accelerated start-up for the project which is funded by a $43.7-million award from the U.S. Army. In addition to the Display Center, ASU is developing a total of 1 billion-sf of research space as part of a rapid expansion of its research infrastructure.
