Ohio University Plans Construction and Renovation Projects

Ohio University is planning four new capital projects on its Athens campus:

  • A new $24-million residence hall will open in fall of 2007, housing 350 beds in double rooms with a shared bath between two rooms.
  • Alden Library will benefit from interior upgrades, new technology, and a reorganization of the building.
  • The $30-million Integrated Research Facility will open in September 2009. The 100,000-sf building will accommodate the colleges of engineering, health and human services, osteopathic medicine, arts & sciences, and fine arts.
  • The Life Science Research Facility will expand with a $1.1-million animal holding addition containing five environmentally controlled rooms. The addition will open in August 2006.
