The facility is expected to encompass 50,000 gsf to 60,000 gsf with approximately half of the building dedicated to laboratory space. Occupancy is slated for 2008. The CAES facility is expected to house a total of 175 people including 100 faculty, researchers and staff, 50 graduate students, and 25 undergraduate students. Designed by GSBS Architects of Salt Lake City, the project will incorporate LEED® sustainable design criteria. Research Facilities Design is providing laboratory design consulting services.
