Purdue University Dedicates New Interdisciplinary Facility

Purdue University dedicated the $12.4-million Gerald D. and Edna E. Mann Hall on May 15, 2007. Located in Discovery Park in West Lafayette, Ind., the facility will provide offices for researchers and staff engaged in health care engineering, advanced manufacturing, cancer care, and homeland security systems. The 50,000-sf Mann Hall will house the Purdue Terrestrial Observatory, the Laboratory for Applications of Remote Sensing, the Indiana Space Grant Consortium, the Pharmaceutical Technology and Education Center for Information Sciences and Engineering, and the Shape and Search Sciences Laboratory. The facility is the fourth completed building in the $350 million Discovery Park complex for interdisciplinary research.
