Firelands Regional Medical Center Completes Expansion

Firelands Regional Medical Center completed a $146 million renovation and expansion of its hospital in Sandusky, Ohio, in July of 2008. Designed by Harley Ellis Devereaux, the 364,000-sf project included six new construction and renovation projects. Harley Ellis Devereaux provided strategic planning, master planning, site planning, architectural, engineering, and interior design services. Gilbane Building Company was the general contractor. Project highlights include the Cancer Center, providing comprehensive cancer treatment services in a single location, and the 220,000-sf New East Tower, housing surgery, emergency, ambulatory care, cardiology, and nursing.
