Jersey Shore University Medical Center Expands Neptune Hospital

Jersey Shore University Medical Center is constructing the Northwest Pavilion, a $300 million expansion of its Neptune, N.J., hospital. Adding 400,000 sf, the project includes a 213,000-sf emergency and trauma center, a 109,000-sf diagnosis and treatment facility, 108 private inpatient rooms, six surgery suites, pediatrics, imaging, and helipad. Clinical and outpatient areas will also be renovated. Construction began in summer of 2006 and is slated for completion in July of 2009. Built to meet LEED sustainable design criteria, the building will feature 100 percent outside air, energy saving HVAC systems, and water conservation technologies.
