University of Wisconsin-Madison's Education Building Receives Energy Star Rating

The University of Wisconsin-Madison has received an Energy Star rating for its renovation and expansion of the historic Education Building. Designed to attain LEED Platinum certification, the project sets a new standard of sustainability with an active chilled beam system and abundant natural light. The project was designed by HGA Architects in collaboration with historic preservation consultant Quinn Evans Architects. The facility includes a two-story steam testing laboratory, a new 35,000-sf teaching and office wing, and a two-story atrium commons.
