College Park, Md.
The University of Maryland will begin construction in 2014 on the Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center in College Park. Designed by Ayers Saint Gross, the $40 million project includes renovation of 27,400 sf in Holzapfel Hall and construction of a 63,400-sf building. The facility will provide technology-rich classrooms and auditoria and is slated for completion in February of 2016. The general contractor for the project is Clark Construction Group. LEED Silver sustainable design certification will be sought for the building.
