Augusta, Ga.
Georgia Health Sciences University has selected HOK to design the 186,000-sf Medical Education Commons in Augusta. The $105 million project will provide classrooms, group study spaces, student services, and administrative space for the Medical College of Georgia and the College of Dental Medicine. The LEED-certified facility will be built by Skanska; the value of the construction contract is $62 million. The project also includes renovation of the 24,000-sf Gross Anatomy Lab in the Sanders Research and Education Building.
