University of Baltimore Builds Angelos Law Center

The University of Baltimore's $107 million John and Frances Angelos Law Center is slated for completion in spring of 2013. Designed by Behnisch Architekten of Stuttgart in partnership with Ayers/Saint/Gross of Baltimore, the 190,000-sf facility will provide technology-rich classrooms, 30 group study spaces, faculty offices, a seven-story law library, a 300-seat moot courtroom, administrative space, and an atrium. LEED Platinum sustainable design will be sought for the 12-story project, which will feature LED lighting throughout and an active slab heating and cooling system. The construction manager is Whiting Turner Contractors of Baltimore.
