Escondido, Calif.
Construction of the $1 billion Palomar Medical Center reached completion in April of 2012. Located in Escondido, Calif., the 11-story, 740,000-sf hospital will provide 288 beds when it opens in August of 2012. The patient-centric facility was designed by CO Architects and built by DPR Construction. Featuring advanced sustainable design technologies, Palomar Medical Center includes the 168-bed East Tower and the 120-bed West Tower. Construction began on the project in December of 2007.
