I2SL Expands Laboratory Benchmarking Tool

Survey Participants Sought to Optimize the Operational Practices Module
Published 8/26/2020

The International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) is expanding the Laboratory Benchmarking Tool. The new Operational Practices Module will enable lab owners and managers see how their building’s policies and practices compare with those of their peers in terms of lab ventilation rates, night temperature setbacks, occupant engagement programs, exhaust dispersion analyses, and other metrics.

Participants can help optimize the OP Module by providing their operational practices data so that the peer group database can be pre-populated before the module is released in mid-September. By taking the Operational Practices Survey now, your responses will be included in the LBT pre-launch, allowing you to make those important comparisons from day one. The survey submission date has been extended to September 7, 2020.

The Laboratory Benchmarking Tool is sponsored by the Federal Energy Management Program at the U.S. Department of Energy. It was developed in collaboration with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and kW Engineering
