Titan Plans Anne Arundel County Facility

Titan, a San Diego-based telecom consultant, has pre-leased 157,000 sf in a planned facility at Anne Arundel County’s National Business Park. Construction is expected to break ground in the second quarter of 2003 on the $26-million facility; delivery is slated for the second quarter of 2004. Corporate Office Properties Trust is the owner and developer of the project. Titan is a provider of communication and information systems services and solutions to the federal government and intelligence agencies.

Catholic University Opens Pryzbyla Student Center

Catholic University celebrated the official opening of the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center in Washington on April 10, 2003. The 104,000-sf, $27-million building was designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and built by Clark Construction Group. The center houses nine meeting rooms, an 800-seat dining room, and office and storage space for 31 student organizations. The building’s dining hall and food court will replace three campus dining facilities.

British Ministry of Defense Awards Dyncorp FM Contract

The British Ministry of Defense has awarded Dyncorp International a $948-million contract to manage all of the non-military support for 130 army locations throughout England, Scotland, and Wales. The 10-year contract will assign up to 2000 employees and will include facilities management and range operations as provided by joint venture Landmarc Support Services. Dyncorp is a subsidiary of Computer Sciences Corp.

Purdue University Builds Bindley Bioscience Center

Construction has begun on the new Bindley Bioscience Center, a research building at Purdue University for their campus in West Lafayette, Indiana. The biosciences and engineering facility is one of five centers planned for a new $100-million Discovery Park addition to the West Lafayette campus.

Palomar Pomerado Health Expands Facilities

Palomar Pomerado Health has selected Anshen + Allen of Los Angeles to design the $210-million expansion of Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, Calif. and the $63-million expansion of Pomerado Hospital.
