Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union Breaks Ground on Administrative Center

Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union recently broke ground on its new Administrative Service Center in Live Oak, Texas. The 112,000-sf facility will house 350 employees, consolidating administrative personnel from six separate locations. The project is being designed by local architectural firm Chesney-Morales Associates and built by Metropolitan Contracting Co. Slated for completion by fall of 2003, the center will house all back-office operations including marketing, security, call centers, and loss prevention.

Suffolk University Builds Beacon Hill Dormitory

Suffolk University is building a new dormitory in Boston's urban Beacon Hill area. Designed by Cannon Design, the facility will be constructed on an 8,700-sf former parking lot and will stand 19 stories above ground with two stories below ground. The west side of the structure will feature a glass curtainwall.

Centura Health Builds Parker Adventist Hospital

Centura Health has contracted Broomfield, Colo.-based Capstone Planning & Development to provide project cost controls and master schedules for the new Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker, Colo. The 200,000-sf, $55-million facility has a total project cost of $108-million and will combine the design and construction in a fast-track schedule.

Exempla Community Hospital Plans New Facility

Exempla Community Hospital has selected Broomfield, Colo.-based Capstone Planning & Control to provide independent cost estimation verification for a new hospital in Lafayette, Colo. The facility will be approximately 400,000 sf and have a construction cost of $130 million. Davis Partnership of Denver and HKS Architects of Dallas are working together to design the facility, and MA Mortenson/Saunders joint venture will be the CM/GC.
