Deere & Co. Occupies New Training Center

Deere & Co., based in Moline, Ill., moved into a 12,500-sf training facility in August at the Commonwealth Park II development in Morrisville, a short distance from Cary, N.C., where the company is building a new division headquarters. Three classrooms, three labs, a conference room plus some unfinished space will provide product training space for the company's employees. At build-out, the company's nearby Cary campus will house up to 2,000 employees.

Answerthink Builds Technoplex HQ in Conshohocken

 Answerthink Inc., a computer consulting company based in Miami, has plans for a new headquarters at O'Neill Properties Group's Millenium project. The facility, dubbed 'Technoplex', will accommodate a computer operations center, an advanced R&D facility, and space for training and educational activities. Approximately 180 employees will be employed at the new building.

Bank of America Outsources Leasing & Management to Trammell Crow

 Bank of America, headquartered in Dallas, has awarded Trammell Crow a multiyear, multimillion dollar contract to handle leasing and management for the bank nationwide, which encompasses 40 million sf of real estate in 23 states. This is the largest real estate outsourcing contract in Trammel Crow’s history, and will cover everything from HVAC maintenance to site locations for new branch banks.

Siemens Medical Expands in Cary

Siemens Medical Systems, based in Iselin, N.J., is expanding at its 20,000-sf service and training center in Cary. The addition of a four-story training center and a two-story parking deck will bring the total space to 65,600 sf. Completion of construction is anticipated by the end of 2001. The company is a subsidiary of Siemens AG, the electronics company based in Germany.
