University of Florida Develops Center of Excellence for Regenerative Health Biotechnology

The University of Florida is developing the 23,500-gsf Center of Excellence for Regenerative Heath Biotechnology in Alachua County, Fla. Sited 13 miles from the University's Gainesville campus in the Sid Martin Biotechnology Development Incubator in the Progress Corporate Park, the facility will house up to 11,080 sf of cleanrooms and support space. Slated for completion in March 2006, the center will have the capacity to produce mammalian protein and vaccine products and will accommodate the manufacture of high-quality biopharmaceuticals for human clinical trials. The project contractor is McClier Corporation.
