Penn State Builds Materials/Life Science Research Facility

Pennsylvania State University is planning to construct a 350,000-sf Materials/Life Science research facility at its campus in University Park. The total project investment for the biomedical and nanotechnology engineering facility is estimated at $190 million. Housing laboratory space for over 125 faculty and staff involved in interdisciplinary research, the building will foster collaborative research in bio-nanomaterials between Penn State's Materials Research Institute and the Hershey School of Medicine with industry partners including Johnson & Johnson and Bayer Materials.
