Children's Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University Builds Outpatient Pavilion

Children's Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University is building a $168 million outpatient pavilion. Consolidating all outpatient pediatric services in a single location, the 15-story, 640,000-sf facility will provide 72 exam rooms, faculty offices, a surgical area with two operating rooms and two procedure rooms, and areas for diagnostic testing, imaging, and laboratory services. The project architect is HKS and the general contractor is Skanska. Construction began on the project in September of 2012 and occupancy is expected in 2016.
