University of Kansas Hospital Builds Cambridge North Tower

University of Kansas Hospital is building the $370 million Cambridge North Tower in Kansas City. The 13-story, 558,570-sf facility will provide 124 inpatient rooms, as well as accommodating 11 surgical suites, imaging, and clinical space for medical specialties. Construction began on the tower in March of 2015 and occupancy of the first phase is expected in early 2018. The project team, which includes architect Cannon Design and general contractor JE Dunn, is utilizing 3D modeling technologies to coordinate the delivery of building systems.
