James Cook University Plans Townsville Hospital

James Cook University is planning to build a private hospital in Townsville, Queensland, to complement the clinical training and research activities of the College of Medicine. Slated for completion in 2019, the first phase of construction will create a 100-bed facility at a cost of AU$113 million. A planned second construction phase could double the size of the facility, as well as providing medical offices adjacent to the hospital.
