Sartorius Constructs Research and Manufacturing Facilities

Published 10/20/2017

Sartorius Stedim Cellca is constructing a $35 million Cell Culture Technology Center in Ulm, Germany. Located at Science Park III in Eselsberg, the lab and office facility will support the development of cell culture and protein production technologies. Completion is expected in 2019.

In September of 2017, Sartorius opened a $49 million manufacturing facility for laboratory instruments in Goettingen. Consolidating several existing production sites, the 269,000-sf building accommodates parts manufacture, prototype construction, a calibration center, an extended vocational training workshop, and administrative offices. Illuminated by natural light admitted by 75,350 sf of glass, the building employs a decoupled foundation for vibration mitigation.
