Georgia Southern University Breaks Ground on Interdisciplinary Academic Building

Georgia Southern University broke ground in February of 2017 on the $33.6 million Interdisciplinary Academic Building in Statesboro. Designed by HOK, the 110,000-sf facility will provide classrooms to support a progressive pedagogy of interactive, student-centered learning. The flexible, collaborative building will support programs from a variety of academic disciplines including Interior Design, Fashion Merchandising & Apparel Design, History, Foreign Languages, Writing & Linguistics, International Studies, and other departments in the College of Health and Human Sciences. The project is being constructed by CPPI working in partnership with Lavender. Completion is expected in June of 2018.
